About Grande Prairie Family Education Society

Our Origin Story

Grande Prairie Family Education Society (GPFES) was founded with a vision to strengthen families and build community resilience through education, prevention, and early intervention. What began as a local initiative has grown into a trusted network of supports for families across the region.

Our Vision

Collaborating to strengthen families and communities.

Our Mission

All families thrive—Supported. Connected. Resilient.

Our Values

How We Operate

GPFES offers no-fee, voluntary programs to families, youth, children, and individuals of all ages. Our services are inclusive and confidential—designed to meet people where they are, with the right support at the right time.

About the Family Resource Network (FRN)

As the Hub for the Grande Prairie and Area Family Resource Network (FRN), GPFES connects families with programs that support children and youth (0–18) through parenting education, early intervention, and specialized services. Using a hub-and-spoke model, we work with partner agencies to ensure families can easily access the right supports—when and where they need them.

Board Members

Our Board of Directors includes passionate community members with expertise in education, health, family advocacy, and social services. Their leadership ensures our programs remain responsive, accountable, and impactful.
